North West Youth Alliance First Division - Manager -

New Mills Youth 5 Walshaw Sports 3
The Youth turned a 3 - 0 deficit after 60 minutes into a 5 - 3 win after 90. A fantastic second half performance bordering on a football master class.
GOALS - Dave Foster 2, George Wood 1, Travis Hall 1, Tom Lamb 1

MARINE 3 NEW MILLS YOUTH 3
Marine played a typically physical game and were rewarded with a 3 - 0 lead at half time.
The Millers knew they had to stand up and match Marine in the second half, and they certainly did this and more. Three goals were a reward for their efforts (Travis Hall 2 & Lee Gregory 1) and they were unlucky not to come home with all three points.
A GOOD DAY TO BE A MILLERS MANAGER, COACH, PLAYER AND PARENT.

Leigh Genesis 0 New Mills Youth 8
8 - 0 says it all.
80% Possession and goals from 5 different players, with total control of the game. Well done.
You had your lesson last week and have made sure that you put in a good performance against a poor Leigh side.

New Mills Youth 0 Marine 'A' Youth 4 - OPEN CUP
An early round draw against premier league opposition was not what the Millers needed. Marine are very strong this year having lost only once and playing with the squad that reached the final last year who are now U18s meaning it was always going to be a difficult task.
A fairly even first half for chances but Marine took there's in both half's which was the difference in the game. The Millers will not play anyone in their league this year who are as strong as Marine and can now concentrate on the League and The Presidents Cup
Good performances from the two new players Aidan Birchenough and Tom Lamb.
Some issues with player behaviour which will be dealt with by me this week
